Perky Pilates is a private Pilates Reformer studio in London, founded by physiotherapist and Pilates instructor Vanessa Reid.
Having built a strong social media following through her distinctive content style, founder Vanessa sought to expand her product offering into new digital products. However, like many ventures in the growth phase, she recognized that her existing venture identity and positioning didn't match her future ambitions.
I was tasked with conducting a 360-degree review of the venture's brand and developing a new demand generation plan aligned with future goals.
Analysis of the yoga and Pilates category revealed an inherent duality: an outward display of effortless humility paired with deliberate pursuit of aspirational lifestyle goals. Beneath self-deprecating remarks and inner peace messaging lies quiet ambition – cultivating a body and life that radiates beauty and balance. This 'false modesty' often feels curated, projecting simplicity while pursuing polished perfection.
This approach contradicted Perky Pilates' mission. Vanessa's goal was making Pilates accessible to working parents regardless of shape, form, or schedule. Her focus: helping parents live healthier, happier lives through exercise – not pursuing Instagram perfection.
With this insight, I developed new messaging and GTM strategy anchored by the brand idea 'Flexible fitness.' This concept extended through a new visual identity featuring bright tropical optimism, enhanced UI/UX, and cohesive offline touchpoints.
